A walk-in-interview will be held in the Office of the Dean, Research and Development, Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur (formerly, Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur), Howrah – 711013, West Bengal, on 18th February, 2016 at 11.00 AM for the recruitment of two posts of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the BRNS (DAE) sponsored project (Ref. No. 2013/35/29/BRNS/1159).
Details of the position are as follows:
Position: Senior Research Fellow (Two)
Principal Investigator and work place:
- Dr. Kalyan Kumar Bhar, Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, IIEST, Shibpur
- Er. Bikash Chowdhury, Chief Hydraulic Engineer, Kolkata Port Trust
Fellowship: ₹28,000/- per month for with other allowances as admissible by University rules.
Nature and duration of post: The appointment will be on contract basis for a period of one month, likely to be extended for another year. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
Essential Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering with minimum 67% marks from any recognized University.
Desirable Qualifications: M.E./M.Tech. in Water Resources Engineering and experience of Computer Applications in Water Resources Engineering problems.
Age limit: Not more than 25 years, relaxable up to 5 yrs. in case of SC/ST/PH/OBC/Women candidates.
