Experimental Project Added to the Teaching Laboratory

i) Procurement and installation of an Exhaust Gas Analyzer to measure the emission of CO, CO₂, NO_x and HC from spark ignition engines in the Internal Combustion Engine Laboratory of the department.

ii) Procurement and installation of a Diesel Smoke-meter to measure the smoke level in Hartridge Smoke Unit (HSU) from compression ignition engines in the Internal Combustion Engine Laboratory of the department .

ii) Installation of the evacuated tube thermo-siphon based solar water heater set up in the Heat power Laboratory.

Overseas Visit.

1. Visited Washington DC USA for presenting a technical paper in ASME 5^th conference on Energy Sustainability and 9^th Fuel Cell Science Engineering and Technology Conference in August 2011.

ii) Visited Dhaka, Bangladesh for presenting a technical paper in International Conference on Mechanical Engineering (ICME) 2013 held in BUET in June 2014.

iii) Visited London, UK for presenting a technical paper in World Congress on Engineering held in Imperial College, London in July 2014.

1. Selected for International Travel Support Scheme by DST Government of India to present a technical paper in Washington DC USA in 2011.
2. Awarded Ganesh Chandra Mitra Memorial Award (Gold Medal) for securing I^st position in Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Master Degree in 2004.
3. Awarded Silver Medal for securing Ist Position in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Master Degree in 2004
4. Qualified in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2002 securing 95.59 percentile and availed Post Graduate Scholarship under Government of India, MHRD.
