Twelve and Half years of experience in Software Engineering in the field of Wireless Telecommunication in LTE, CDMA 1xEVDO and UMTS Technologies. The work experience covers some important areas of Wireless Telecommunication, Data communication, and Networking.

• End-to-end LTE network emulation and call processing.

• Development and Current engineering for CDMA 1x EVDO Radio Network Controller (RNC).
• IP Networking on ATCA based RNC.
• Datapath RLP implementation and ensuring throughput and QoS in eHRPD RNC.
• Development of CDMA 1x EVDO Base Station Router.
• Development of UMTS RRC layer for User Equipment.
• Development of Conformance Test Software (CTS) for UMTS protocol stacks.
• Verification and validation of UMTS protocol stacks for 3G mobile handset.

1. Development of LTE EPC Emulator
   • Development of LTE EPC node SGW involving GTPC, GTPU, PMIP protocol layers
2. Development of CS fallback to 1xRTT (CDMA2K) feature across EPC emulator nodes
3. Development of LTE eNodeB Emulator
   • Development of RRC, PDCP, RLC protocol layers
   • End-to-end call processing and Packet processing using UE and EPC nodes

Organization: AIRVANA Networks, Bangalore 
Role: Lead Engineer R&D 
Duration: 3 years 6 months

Projects:

1. Development of UMTS Femto cell
   • End-to-end Circuit Switch(CS) and Packet Switch(PS) Call processing
   • Support of Home Zone Indication for the Femto cell users
   • Support of Uplink CS call multiplexing (RTP multiplexing) for better backhaul bandwidth utilization
2. Development of CDMA 1x EVDO Radio Network Controller (RNC)
   • Porting of legacy RNC application code on ATCA platform
   • IP Networking such as Route Management, Asynchronous Socket support and Datapath packet processing on ATCA based RNC
   • Packet based RLP protocol, ensuring throughput and QoS
3. Development of CDMA 1x EVDO based Base Station Router (BSR) and inter-working with Operators Macro network.

Organization: Alcatel-Lucent, Bangalore 
Role: Consultant 
Duration: 2 years 10 months

Projects:

1. Development of CDMA 1x EVDO Radio Network Controller (RNC)
   • Intra RNC Session Load Balance to improve performance of the RNC
   • RNC Grouping to reduce Access Terminal (AT) ping-ponging and Inter-RNC Session Transfer
   • MEID expansion features for EVDO AT
2. Controlled Introduction / First Office Application at Sprint (USA)
3. Current Engineering (field support) by working on several field issues through analysis of logs and implementation

Organization: Sasken Communication Technology, Bangalore 
Role: Senior Software Engineer 
Duration: 3 years 3 months

Projects:

1. Protocol Stack development for UMTS RRC layer for UE
2. Development of Conformance Test Software (CTS) for Protocol verification & validation of UMTS UE protocol stack
3. Customization and porting of CTS on top of third party Network Simulator (a device having real or virtual PHY and MAC implemented) and validating UMTS UE protocol stack using the same
