• Gold medal for ranking 1 among girls and 3 overall among 3.13 lakh candidates at the standard 10 level Madhyamik Pariksha (School Final) in 1986 .

• Ranked 49 among 1.8 lakh candidates at the standard 12 level (10+2) in the Higher Secondary exam in 1988.

• Governor’s Gold Medal for the best overall  performance in all sessional subjects in Electrical Engineering at the B.E. level in 1992.

• Institute Silver Medal for ranking First among Electrical Engineering PG students and Second among all outgoing M.Tech students at IIT Kharagpur in 1994.

• First lady ever to obtain a Ph.D. degree from the Department of EE, IIT Kharagpur in 1997.

• Best paper awards in many conferences
