Optoelectronic and transport properties of low dimensional solids for Photonic, photovoltaic and sensing applications.
Research Experience
Dr. Hossain is working in the field of physics and applications of nano dimensional semiconductor, metal and dielectric materials with emphasis on nanostructured silicon. He has worked on the luminescence, transport, photovoltaic and sensing applications of silicon and silica nanoparticles. He has worked on 3rd generation photovoltaics at University of Trento, Italy during 2007-08. He has also worked on the transport and luminescence properties of nano crystalline silicon at SUNY, Buffalo, USA. Currently he is working on graphene based nano-composites. He has published more than 90 research papers in his entire research carrier out of which 45 papers have been published in reputed journals.
Ph.D Supervision
Five students have been awarded Ph.D. One student has submited. Six more students are currently registered with him.
