The Society of Civil Engineers (SOCCE) is an organization formed by the students of Civil Engineering Department of IIEST Shibpur along with the active and motivating leadership of the faculty and staff members of the department. This society was setup in 1957 as a student’s body of the Civil Engineering Department to form a platform for different students to share their ideas among themselves. The main purposes of setting up this organization was to encourage students to come up with innovative solutions to various problems.
